How our service works

Once the customer has made initial contact with their local agency, we will visit them at home to discuss their needs and help them decide exactly what work should be done.

We have plenty of literature to explain the different services we offer, many of which are available in other languages, Braille and spoken word versions.

Once they have decided what work they would like done, we will obtain prices for the work from building contractors on our preferred list. Our preferred list contains contractors who we have vetted and deem suitably reliable, professional and competent.

If the customer decides to proceed with the job after viewing the price, we will assist them with the necessary paperwork and help them to manage the building contract between themselves and the contractor.

If the customer is having major structural work done, it may be necessary for them to move out of their home while the work is carried out. In this instance, Anchor Staying Put may be able to help them to find somewhere to move temporarily and to organise the removals there and back.

Once the work has been completed, we will inspect it to ensure it has been completed satisfactorily.

At the end of the process we ask customers for their thoughts on the service they received. We use these questionnaires to find out their views and improve service delivery where necessary.
