Since
being in contact with Anchor Staying Put, which is for four
years now, I can only say that if any problem arises regarding
trouble with the home I have peace of mind knowing that Anchor

I
write to express my very real thanks for the help you have
given my stepmother in getting an effective heating system
and also for keeping me informed of all the progress. My stepmother
is delighted with the work and I know will feel the benefit
this coming winter.

I
was very impressed with the handyman from the time I opened
the door. He took his ID out for me to see - a proper look.
He put me at ease straight away - he gives people confidence.
The job was finished in under an hour. This service is a Godsend.

I
really cannot thank you enough, you have all worked hard on
my behalf and the house has been really warm this winter.
I hope that you can carry on with the good work of helping
elderly people like me.

National
User Group Report
Two
national focus groups sessions were held in October and November
2007 in Manchester and East Grinstead respectively. Ten users were
invited to the attend the northern session from three different
agencies across the North West region and twelve users were invited
to the southern session from five different agencies across the
South East region. Six customers attended the first session and
ten attended the second All had previously had work undertaken to
their homes or were waiting for work to progress.
The
groups were consulted on a number of issues including the design
of our literature, proposed changes to our complaints procedure,
the Trades Register service, website usage and general perceptions
of the Staying Put service.
Overall
both groups were very positive about Anchor Staying Put andfelt
its services had improved the quality of their lives, taking away
much of the worry and anxiety connected with the process of home
improvement. They were clear about the services they had received
and Staying Put staff were very highly praised.
As
a result of this exercise Anchor Staying Put will feed through the
information to its regional agencies and the following recommendations
will be implemented:
- Feedback on current and proposed
design will be carried forward and incorporated into the new brief
for Staying Put literature.
- The comment on complaints and length
of time at stage two (to be extended to three weeks) will be implemented.
- Comments on the Trades Register
have revealed great interest in the service and this will be fed
back at a national level.
- The comments on the website will
be fed back to the relevant group. However to obtain any real
feedback on this (as our sample was too small), further research
will be required with relevant users.
