  Working with the Community

Anchor Staying Put in South Manchester works closely with many agencies, voluntary organisations and Public Sector Departments.  Close links with The Older Peoples Network, Valuing Older People and Age Concern help us to get out to vulnerable older people in some of the most deprived areas of Manchester.  The Independent Living Team work with BME communities throughout the City and have close links to the Afro-Caribbean Care Centre, Indian Senior Citizens Centre, Pakistani Resource Centre, the Polish Catholic Community and many more.

During 2005 - 2006 agency staff joined in the “Healthy Living” road shows in Wythenshawe, Whalley Range, Longsight and Manchester Town Hall culminating in a fashion show and events throughout the City.  We were able to provide information on our services as well as organisations such as Manchester Fire Service, Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), Energy Efficiency, Bogus Callers and many more

Over the years we have forged strong working relationships with Private Sector Housing, Supporting People, Children Families and Social Care and Joint Health.   It is safe to say that we will build partnerships where we can and work together with any organisation for the mutual benefit of our customers providing them with excellent customer service.
