About
Us
Anchor Staying Put Southend on Sea was established in November 2005. Its core aim is to provide support and information relating to Home improvements, adaptations and repairs. It also prides itself on being able to give practical advice or sign posting on an assortment of issues related to property and wellbeing in order to assist people to stay in their own homes. Examples of this would be to help people obtain heating, benefit advice, security and safety in their own homes. Anchor Staying Put is a not-for-profit Home Improvement Agency run by Anchor Trust, in partnership with Southend on Sea Borough Council and Southend on Sea Social Services. We are here to help older and disabled homeowners who live in the Borough. Staying Put Core Service The Staying Put team can assist with disabled adaptations and renovation work needed to homes in the Southend on Sea Borough. The type of work includes:
Disabled Facility Grants and Home Repair Grants The Staying Put Team can guide people through the process of obtaining a Grant from Southend On Sea Borough Council. We can help with the completion of the enquiry forms. If work is agreed by the Grant’s Officers we can arrange for all necessary work to be priced by, reliable contractors from our approved list. We will supervise work when the contractors are in your home and ensure that all work is carried out to a satisfactory standard. We will liaise with Southend On Sea Borough Council to arrange payment once the work is completed. |
