How we are funded
The agency is funded by a variety of different national and local bodies:
- Newcastle and Gateshead local authorities.
- Bridging NewcastleGateshead (Office of Communities & Local Government).
- The Quality of Life Partnership.
- Gateshead Carers’ Association.
- Help the Aged.
- Link Up Gateshead .
If you decide to use the Staying Put service you would need to pay a fee for the technical service provided. The fee is usually 10% of the nett cost of the work that you have carried out. If you receive a local authority grant it is possible that some or all of the fee may be covered by the grant.
The Small Repairs Service charge a fee of £10 per job, but you must then pay for the cost of any materials used.
The Gardening Service is free of charge but asks for a contribution, if you can afford it.

Any surplus carried forward is used to improve our service. For example, some of our surplus is being used to set up our new Gardening Social Enterprise.
