About
Us
Anchor
Staying Put was established in Reigate 15 years ago, in partnership with
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Surrey Adults and Community Care
Teams. We have now expanded into the Mole Valley District Council areas,
part funded by the Council and Social Services. We are a not-for-profit,
charitable organisation.
Our
service is available to older or disabled people, or those on means-tested
benefits. We can help people apply for Grant funding to adapt or
repair their homes if eligible, and assist in planning, organising
and overseeing the works. We also offer this service on private
basis, for a small fee.
At
Anchor Staying Put we offer our assistance to those older or more
vulnerable people, to help them to receive benefits or other advice,
or to source equipment or adaptations to enable people to 'Stay
Put' in their own homes. |
We
also offer a SAFE scheme, whereby our Small Repairs Technicians
or 'handymen' may be able to undertake small repair jobs for you.
This includes: minor plumbing, minor electrical, general small repairs,
and the fitting of hand and grab rails, ramps and other adaptations
in and around your home. This scheme, like the rest of our service,
is 'not-for profit', but there is an hourly charge to cover costs.
Please contact us to find out more about charges and whether we
can help with your particular problem. |
